2014 - 2015
Leeds SV 2-1 WF
We can look forward to next season on the back of such performances, and against better opposition.
WF 6-1 Lenham Wanderers
On the day, better in all departments and aspects of the game.
WF 0-5 Leeds SV
The result was settled early on, but bare XI we had competed well throughout.
WF 0-2 Eccles
Eccles could have won by more, but the longer the game wore on, the more impressive we became and the greater the threat we posed.
Maidstone Kestrals 1-0 WF
An early goal was enough to settle this match, but should it have been, is open to debate.
WF 2-4 Tonbridge Invicta (aet)
Basically a Reserve XI, but performed throughout as if they were first XI, with the youngsters especially pleasing.
Wateringbury Colts 0-4 WF
An excellent result after the disappointment of last week.
WF 1-3 Wateringbury Colts
An excellent game to watch, with the visitors, in the end, deserving the 3 points - just.
WF 2-0 Marden Minors
Good team, good performances, good result. 3rd at Christmas, and with this form, could remain.
WF 2-4 Three Suttons
Battling well on difficult pitch, there was little between the sides; as there appears to be little to be all the top squads, of which we are one.
Headcorn 1 - 2 WF
Having seen they reserves play also today, they would have beaten Headcorn, thankfully the first team did.
WF 0 - 1 Marden Minors (aet)
The only disappointing thing was the result. The spectators (32 of them) were well entertained, and not all via themselves.
WF 3 - 2 Headcorn
We may have had the edge on who had control of the game, yet it was our goalie who had most to cope with. Good result.
WF 0-3 Eccles
For 25 minutes despite being a goal down we were the better team; then, after not converting a penalty, we were second best.
Kingshill Res 0 - 1 WF
Much better, and kept a clean sheet. No tweet last week as could muster nothing like 140 letters.
Three Suttons 2-1 WF
Farleigh will rue the early chances that were missed as they could have easily been 2-0 up, but few would disagree that the right team won.
Marden Minors 3-0 WF
A finely balanced game, but in the second half the opposition took their chances to win the tie.
Eccles 0-1 WF
If you are going to win things, you somehow win games like these. A heartening start to the season on many levels.
2013 - 2014
Eccles 7-2 WF
We were full value for our 2-1 lead after an hour, but then three quick unstoppable goals knocked the stuffing out of us.
WF 1-6 Leeds SV
The best is now 5th position and the worst 7th with one game to go. With a little stronger squad for next season, we could vie for silverware!
Aylesford 2-4 WF
The right team won despite the efforts of the referee. In a clean game there were five bookings.
Headcorn 3-0 WF
Starting with 9 and a half men! Hats off to everyone who gave their all and played through the pain. With no score at half time, the efforts of the first half finally took their toll.
Lenham Wanderers 4-0 WF
With several players unavailable, the three goals in the last 10 minutes produced a scoreline unreflective of the game itself.
Leeds SV 1-0 WF
Another odd-goal defeat by one of the title contenders. By such small margins is silverware decided.
Hunton 1-5 WF
They say "results are everything"; they also say "Arsene Wenger is a legend". Who is right? :-) Good result
Sutton Saints 2-6 WF
If Sutton Saints set the examination - we passed. Dominated in all departments; well played everyone.
Leybourne Athletic 1-2 WF
A great result after such a gap. A well deserved win from a wind-levelling game.
WF 2-2 Lenham Wanderers
The back five were very impressive, which makes conceding a late goal even more annoying.
WF 2-3 Wateringbury Colts
Well played again. Not to get any reward from our two encounters is galling.
WF 6-2 Sutton Saints
A very well deserved win.
Three Suttons 6-1 WF
See last week's tweet. What a difference 7 days make.
WF 7-0 Leybourne Athletic
The scoreline says it all. A fine all round performance.
WF 0-2 Headcorn
With little between the teams this was a disappointing result, pushing for an equaliser we conceded a late second.
WF 2 - 0 Aylesford
Let's not get carried away here, but who could not imagine a few weeks' ago where we are now. A fabulous all round performance.
Wateringbury Colts 5-4 WF
The scoreline only indicates some of the disappointment, in a game that no-one disappointed. The home side know how fortunate they were. Gutted!
Larkield & New Hythe Wndrs 5-0 WF
In the last two weeks we have come up against two top sides; valiant performances - but serious times
Eccles 6 - 0 WF
The mood in the changing room after the game did not reflect the scoreline. Eccles are a fine side, and even though the result was not in doubt, they had it far from their own way.
WF 1 - 2 Headcorn
Not the best of starts, and not the best of finishes, but for very different reasons; but lots of good stuff in between. There are signs that we could hold our own in the premier division. Something that could not have been contemplated a month ago. Rob Hibberd once again showing the way forward.
Southborough 5 - 0 WF
Two-nil down after two minutes, injuries, and against the Cup Holders, we were staring into the abyss: but the team put in a commendable, talented and spirited performance.
WF 4 - 4 Hunton
Out of the ashes! Still lots to learn and improve upon, but from where we were two weeks' ago, so much new hope, let's push on!
Leeds SV 2-1 WF
We can look forward to next season on the back of such performances, and against better opposition.
