West Farleigh Sports Club
West Farleigh Sports Club (1911) has played football for over 100 years and cricket for over 80. It prides itself on close links with the village and also with the village of Ringstedt in Germany; the two being officially 'twinned' in 1999.
We are fortunate to play football and cricket in idyllic settings, deep in the Kent countryside, both with settings having far reaching views overlooking the Medway Valley.
In 1986 contact was made through farming links, the year after a party of Germans came over, then in 1988 the first tour took place playing two games of football. The rest, as they say, "is history".
"The Club is run by such a brilliant group of people, who above and beyond their sporting activities, do so much more for their local community. " - Helen Grant MP
Cricket Nets: Every Monday until Easter, at Sutton Valence School from 7pm for an hour.
I'm not religious. In Spain all 22 players make the sign of the cross before they enter the pitch. If it works all matches must therefore end in a draw.
