7. Spring cleaning
Good Friday Bank holiday 14th April 10am start.
8. Grounds and equipment
the Fairway mower is cutting the grass very well, bought for £4000 and serviced for £1500 in tip top condition and will hopefully make the outfield better. Scarifyer is new! Good for clearing thatch out to improve grass condition in outfield. Grey tractor is not working right now, will try to get it working soon and possibly get Mark Chambers see to it. Mowers alright but could do with a servicing, roller is alright. Cricket net construction is on hold until Baino sorts out TPOs. Grants for covers and site screens and roll on cages being applied for by Trev, must think of good places to store these new things if and when we get them, could get logos on them by jewelultra. Fridge in the kitchen for beers and wines post match, Baino to enquire about license. Thatch not leaking, pavilion is in good condition. Baino to scrap the metal posts.
9.1 Fixtures
Fixtures are good, plenty of cricket, only three free weekends this season for the second team. All Saturdays are booked for the first team. Perfect.
10. Players
MB, hopes to have same side as last year, thinks we have enough players for both sides. Second umpire?
11. Match Tax
Match tax. £10 for full games, £7 for 35 over games, £5 for less than 30 overs, + £3 for tea. Friendly games £10 including the tea. Annual subs £25. Tony to keep collecting.
12. Teas
same as before.
13. AOB
Communication, Trev, text? Whatsapp? Not everyone has all the information at anytime. To see what works with help from Karim.
Two home games a week, clearing up and setting up on a Saturday and a Sunday. Terry shouldn’t be responsible to do it twice a week. Tea clothes and things need to washed for the following day.
Get a chalkboard up with scores and fixtures like up at the football ground.
Quiz night Saturday 22nd April.
As there was no other business the meeting closed at 21.18
